Picture Catch Up

We had a BUSY weekend the 2nd weekend of May-here are some pics...

We had a birthday party for Nana-GiGi on May 9th. She would have been 70 this year!! We celebrated with her favorite dessert-Twinkies:) She would have LOVED Bella's excitement over devouring them!

YUMMMMMMMMMMMMY

The next day-May 10th- was Daddy's 30th birthday!!! Bella wasn't too sure about helping with the candles:)

Ben opening gifts

Bella being a cheesy monkey playing with one of Daddy's gifts (paintbrush)

The infamous "Daddy face"-Ben made this face one day while they were in the shower and she LOOOOOOVES to imitate lately. Now we just have to say, "Make the Daddy face" LOL

Group effort at the Daddy face

Bella's Guys- Uncle Popeye, Pop, and Daddy
Oh wow-total blackmail material!!!! Daddy was playing with a balloon over her head so her hair is sticky up and she adds to it with that lovely smirk:)

Having a fun tubber

Being nice and ladylike while *patiently* waiting for the Child Dedication ceremony to start on May 11th
Family Pic-this describes it all perfectly LOL our beautiful lil hooligan

DOUBLE DIGITS

WOOOOO in the double digits!!!! I'll have Ben take pics tonight. I've had to move into maternity pants-this time only size mediums and they are kinda loose but my regular pants are just cutting into me too much. My larges from when I was pregnant with Bella are WAAAAY too big!!

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY

By the end of this week, your baby will have verifiable fingers and toes. The tadpole appearance diminishes as the tail completely disappears. Eyelids fuse and will stay shut until weeks 25 to 27. Both the external ear and upper lip are complete, and the beginnings of external genitalia appear. The average size of your baby-to-be is 27 to 35 millimeters, crown to rump, or 1.06 to 1.38 inches. Your little one weighs in at a hefty four grams! At the end of the eighth week of gestation your little one is no longer an embryo; from now on he or she is refered to as a fetus.

Hi World!!!!

9 weeks

Ignore the beautiful ponytail-its HOT!!!! Squirt is sticking out just a bit farther this week. Looks more like an actual bump instead of a large roll:)

8 wk comparison

Read below-my boobs are right on track LOL I have my maternity capri sweats on and they are so stretched from Bella that I have to hike them up a bit-I look like Urkel!!

8 wk comparison

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOU

Your breasts may be feeling full and tender. This can be one of the earliest symptoms of pregnancy. The areola typically darkens and Montgomery's glands, lubricating sweat glands on the areola, may become prominent and more numerous. Especially for those with a light complexion, veins in the breast often become more pronounced. Emotionally, you may feel like you are suffering from an ongoing bout of PMS. Even silly commercials may make you cry! (YEP I'm being a cranky baby!!!!)

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY

This week, your baby-to-be grows to between 20 and 28 millimeters from crown to rump, or about an inch. Weighing in at one gram, your baby is very active, although you can't feel its movements. He or she now has all the major organs, muscles and nerves. A Doppler may be able to identify the heartbeat. While testes and ovaries are formed, external genitalia appear sexless, which is why it is too early for an ultrasound to reveal gender. Eyelids are beginning to form and the trunk is straightening and elongating.

Having a bit of a scare this week. I was exposed to Fifth's Disease which can cause severe anemia in the baby in rare cases so I'm going in for bloodwork tomorrow afternoon to see if I'm immune. 50% of women are immune and of the 50% that aren't, only a VERRRRRRY few have problems with the pregnancy.

Lil Squirt has a heartbeat!!!!

Squirt's first Kodak moment!!!!
The red circle is our ONE lil peanut-has a beautifully beating (FAST) heart. The blue circle is the amniotic fluid. Hopefully I won't have a whopping HUGE placenta again but it kept my baby healthy so whatever works:)
As long as everything goes good and my water doesn't break early again, we are looking at a C-Section date of Wednesday, December 17th. We are planning on touring both Northwest and Mercy before we decide where we will deliver since Dr. Ford doesn't deliver at Willow Creek:( Next appt is June 16th! I'm EXHAUSTED but morning sickness was better today. Sunday it was awful and I had to rip open my crackers during church or I would have hurled all over the place. I'm ALWAYS starving. Only 1 more month til the 2nd trimester-looking forward to having my energy back!!!!

8 week belly

WOOOO Squirt is almost sticking out further than the boobs-they'll fight back and forth for that right the entire pregnancy:)

7 wk comparison

At least I don't have to wait and wonder if/when the stretch marks will show up-this pregnancy comes with them built in!!

7 wk comparison-not really that much bigger but looks like its filling out a bit more. I can definitely feel my tummy starting to grow and stretch.

I'm gonna work on a photoshop tummy slideshow tonight during Grey's Anatomy commercials.

Bella's Dedication

Bella's Dedication was on Mother's Day-Sunday, May 11, 2008. I've added the video (Thanks to Nana for the new camera and to Uncle Popeye for great footage!!!!) with Bella clips only. The verse we chose for her was Philippians 1: 9-10- "And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ".

Gotta love the first few minutes of video where Miss Independent was refusing to sit in a chair with the rest of us, then she bangs her back a little too hard on the wall and walks around like an old lady with a bad back:) I like how they said she is the big sister of a baby yet to be born.

(my comments in red)

You are 8 Weeks Pregnant!
WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOU
Are you feeling a bit bloated? YA think MAYBE???? Indigestion and bloating are common complaints of pregnancy. A slowed digestive process causes these symptoms and allows your bloodstream to better absorb nutrients that are then passed on to your baby. In other words, it soaks up EVERYTHING you it and shows on every inch of my ever growing body (hate how fat my face gets in pregnancy but I'm loving my lil bump). You may find relief from wearing loose-fitting clothes YAY I'm not going crazy wanting to already wear my super comfy maternity pants-luckily I'm still fitting into a few pairs of Nana's pants that I got, she wore 1-2 sizes bigger than me so its been perfect, eating small, frequent meals OBVIOUSLY the moron that wrote this does NOT have a toddler to chase around-when I get the chance to sit down and eat, I'm lucky so "frequent" just ain't happening, chewing your food thoroughly (instead of only half chewing and choking???? Can ya tell the crabby hormones have kicked in???) and avoiding high fat foods. No matter how uncomfortable these sensations are for you, rest assured that your baby is oblivious to your pain. As long as it doesn't affect your ability to eat healthy meals, your discomfort may be a nuisance, but it is harmless.

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY
Your baby's head is quite big can't wait for the ultrasound next week!! Gonna use the big noggin pic as blackmail LOL, due to the rapid growth of the brain already a genius. The upper limbs resemble paddles. Your baby-to-be's heart begins to separate into four chambers, and blood is circulating throughout the body. Intestines form within the umbilical cord, but will later migrate back into the abdominal cavity. In the next few days, foot plates, with the beginnings of toe rays, will appear. The external ears are now present. Your baby is now 10 to 13 millimeters long -- about the size of a cherry. The cells that will become either testes or ovaries arrive, but there is no obvious sign of gender yet. Muscle contractions are beginning, but these early "movements" are not yet perceptible. I'm READY for those movements!!! I know I'll be whining about them in a few months but I hate not feeling anything. Feeling SOMETHING makes my mind not think crazy bad things.

I'm tired and cranky and too tired and cranky to really care that I'm tired and cranky. I'll post 8wk pics manana.

School Pictures

It is verrrrrrry hard to believe that my BABY is old enough to get school pictures!!! Sorry if it scanned a little small-these are the proofs. We are going with the first one since she has a semi-smile in it:) She did a pretty good job with her lil posing skills LOL The first one definitely has Bella personality! Excuse the rag-a-muffin look, we had no idea it was picture day until we got there in the morning! Luckily she didn't have a crusty face and she actually matched. Now for the silly, adorable dumbfounded look-can only guess she was trying to figure out who the heck these people with the cameras were LOL

Randomness

Cuddly time with Daddy~ My absolutely two favoritestestest people in the world!!!

Hehe this is how we told Daddy that Bella is gonna be a big sister by Christmas! FYI-OB has due date as Christmas Day

Yes, that is my BABY on the potty like a big girl!!! She hasn't actually produced anything while on the potty but at least she likes it:) She is getting to the point where she'll pull out the Dora seat AFTER she has gone in her diaper-hey, its something:)

Talking to Daddy while she is on the Dora throne:)

Our blooms out front- I hate these bushes when they aren't flowering because they look so twiggy and pathetic

This is actually the most its ever flowered since we've lived here. There were hardly any blooms last year because of the late frost.

Ok you KNOW I'm gonna do this the entire pregnancy LOL I'm thinking my 7 wk pic with Squirt is looking a little in between my 8 wk and 10 wk pic with Bella. Definitely feel like I'm showing a little earlier this time-the jeans are getting tight and my belly just feels full all the time (DEFINITELY don't have a full feeling, I feel like I'm starving all day long!!!).

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!

Exhaustion and morning sickness (more like all day off and on roller coaster of nausea without any puking) is at an all time high. I'm convinced its a boy cuz I had hardly any morning sickness with Bella. Awesome Susan gave me her leftover B6 so I'm gonna start it tomorrow morning and hopefully it will help. I'm sick of Saltines!!!

I had some spotting yesterday but its pretty much stopped and after reading all the pregnancy books that I luckily had stocked up on during my pregnancy with Bella, I was reassured that its pretty normal early in pregnancy and nothing to worry over as long as you don't have painful cramping and it doesn't last more than 3 days. I have my next appt on Wednesday so I'll be sure to mention it.

I'm having my first cravings-mozarella sticks with marianera sauce from Sonic LOL Kind of like my bread sticks and marinera when I was preggo with Bella. The jeans are starting to get a little bit snug, luckily Nana wore one size bigger than me so I've been wearing some of her jeans. Its nice to know she is hugging my Squirt belly. I miss her and I know I'm going to so much during this pregnancy but I know Squirt is here because of her and she is with us every second.

My new fav-Bella LOOOOOVES to pat my belly and kiss 'baaabaaay'. She can now hold her baby doll in a good cradle position (use to hold it by its head and then slam it on the floor LOL) and feed it a bottle. Sooooo cute!!!!

ALMOST 7 weeks:) I figured I'll be busy getting ready for Ben's 3-0 this week so I'll go ahead and do the 7 wk info.

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOU
Rapid acceleration of hormones can cause your face to break out. Wash your face twice a day with a gentle cleaner and drink plenty of water. If you are taking vitamin B6 to help with nausea, you may find it also improves the condition of your skin. Your waist may already be expanding, causing your clothes to feel snug. You may experience constipation and have occasional bouts of indigestion. Some women also feel a bit dizzy or lightheaded at times. (Of course, any persistent symptoms that concern you should be immediately reported to your practitioner.)

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY
Your baby-to-be is the size of a small bean, measuring in at approximately 9 to 11 millimeters, crown to rump. Dark spots, mark the early formation of the eyes. Pits indicate the formation of nostrils and ears. Your baby's brain is developing rapidly, and limbs and facial characteristics are now forming. Your baby's heart now has a right and left chamber. An ultrasound may be able to detect heart motion. The esophagus and trachea are changing and differentiating into separate tubes, with lungs positioned on either side.
